New Orleans own Emond Franklin, better known as Emondsta is no stranger to adversity. At the age of 12, following the loss of his uncle, Emondsta decided to take rap seriously, because life on the streets of New Orleans was getting worse by the day. Following a limited run with the group Top Flight, Emondsta decided to venture on his own, quickly becoming one of New Orleans hottest unsigned rap-artists. After the move to Houston because of the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, Emondsta worked hard becoming 2012’s Top 2 in the nation artist for BET’s National Hot 16 Contest.
